Your units, in front of verified students at the campus next door.
Crashmates is a housing and roommate platform that only lets in students with a verified .edu address. We run a page for every US campus. If you own or manage units near one of them, we’ll build and manage your listings there — in front of students who are actually enrolled at that school.
Why student renters find you here
The problem with student housing leads isn’t volume — it’s that most of them aren’t students.
Verified students, not internet strangers
Every account is a .edu email cross-checked against IPEDS, the Department of Education’s official database of accredited schools. Inquiries come from real, enrolled students at the school you’re near — not the bots and out-of-area tire-kickers that make Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist leads worthless.
A page for their exact campus
We run a dedicated housing page for every one of 3,900+ US campuses. Students looking for housing search their school by name, not a metro area — so your units show up in the place they’re actually looking, next to roommate and sublease listings for the same school.
Students never pay to reach you
There’s no paywall between a student and your listing. Nothing to unlock, no subscription, no “upgrade to message the landlord.” That means the inquiries you get are from students who wanted your unit, not students who happened to have credits left.
How it works
Four steps, and three of them are ours. We built this so it costs you one email, not a new system to learn.
Start your plan
Pick your unit count below, add your card, and you’re subscribed — it takes about a minute. Your plan and price are set by how many units you list, and you can cancel anytime.
Send us the units
The moment you pay you land on your setup page — add units and upload photos there, or just reply to your welcome email with whatever you already have: a unit sheet, a PDF, a link to your existing listings. We write and publish the listings ourselves, matched to how students actually search: per-room where you allow it, with rent, availability, and distance to campus.
Students inquire directly
Interested students contact you through the listing. You get their name, their school, and their message — and you screen and lease exactly the way you already do.
We keep them current
We keep your listings live and accurate for as long as you’re a member — updating availability, rotating filled units out, and reporting monthly on what they produced. Month-to-month, cancel whenever the leasing season ends.
Simple pricing, by portfolio size
A flat monthly membership — not a per-lead charge. You’re never billed more because a listing did well. Building and maintaining the listings is included.
All plans include managed listings, monthly reporting, and month-to-month billing. Not sure which fits? Pick your unit count below and your plan is chosen for you.

Questions we get
What does it cost?
Plans start at $79/month and are tiered by how many units you list — Starter (1–4 units) at $79, Growth (5–20 units) at $149, and Portfolio (21+ units) at $299. It’s a flat monthly membership, not a per-lead charge — you’re never billed more because a listing did well. Month-to-month, cancel anytime, and the price includes us building and maintaining the listings for you.
Why isn’t it free like it is for students?
Students are free on purpose — verified demand is what makes the platform worth listing on, and charging students would thin out the exact audience you want to reach. Landlords pay because you’re getting something with real value: qualified, campus-specific, .edu-verified inquiries, with the listing work done for you. Free-to-list sites are free because their leads are unscreened; ours aren’t.
Do I need an account?
No password, no account. Crashmates accounts require a verified .edu email, which you almost certainly don’t have — and we’re not weakening that check, since it’s the whole reason students trust the platform. When you subscribe you get a private link to your own setup page instead, where you add units and upload photos.
What kind of properties fit?
Anything a college student would rent within a reasonable commute of campus: single-family houses, duplexes, apartment buildings, purpose-built student housing, and individual rooms. Per-room leasing is especially strong here, because a big share of our students are searching for a room plus roommates rather than a whole unit.
Are you going to spam my tenants or sell my data?
No. We use your contact details to talk to you about your listings, and that’s it. We don’t sell contact information, we don’t hand your leads to competitors, and we don’t market to your existing tenants.
How is this different from Apartments.com or Zillow?
Those are general rental marketplaces where student housing is one slice of a much bigger pool, and anyone can inquire. Crashmates is only students, verified at the front door, organized by campus rather than by metro. We’re not trying to replace your listing syndication — we’re the campus-specific channel next to it.
How quickly can you get my units up?
Usually within a few business days of you sending the details, since we write the listings ourselves. You can also add units and photos yourself on the setup page you land on right after checkout, and those go live as soon as they’re in.
